Feb 20 Class:
So, Wednesday was our last class!!
Rab talked mainly about copyright as planned. Also, in the beginning of the class, he gave us his presentation that he will be giving for TED!! I thought it was interesting to watch his presentation because he actually has never given one to us. I was able to learn what a good presenter looks like, too. Apparently, he had to buy the photographs and video clips that he included in his slideshows. For that particular slideshow, he said it cost probably about 2500 yen. I was so surprised by this, and thought that that was quite expensive just for a photo. However, I learned that it is very important to get consent from the photographer or the creator or else you might get taken to court! Thus, we must take it seriously and be very careful when giving presentations. Rab also said that we could just create our own photographs, because then, we would not have to worry about copyright because it's our own.
To conclude my experience in this class, I really enjoyed every lectures and classes. I was able to learn so much and gain many things. I was also given the great opportunity to meet many new people and become friends. Since giving presentations and making power points were few of the most challenging things to do for me, I am glad that I took this course. Rab taught me so many things that will be useful for me in the future. I hope that I improved in my presentation skills and hope to apply this gained knowledge for my other courses and future career!!!
Good job everyone and thank you Rab!!
